About Dayanara Torres
Dayanara Torres (born October 28, 1974) is a Puerto Rican celebrity. She was chosen the 1993 Miss Universe in the Philippines. Torres was born in Toa Alta. Torres’ Miss Universe election caused some controversy because it was claimed she was still a minor. However, it is claimed that Torres turned 18 several months before the contest. After being Miss Universe, she spent time in the Philippines where she became a well-known actress and singer. She became a very famous actress and singer, and dated a very famous local actor, Aga Muhlach. She enjoyed wild success there and lived in that country for many years. After returning to Puerto Rico, she met salsa singer Marc Anthony and married him in 2000, having two sons with him, Cristian and Ryan. In 2002, the couple announced a separation, but reconciled, renewing their vows in Puerto Rico in December of that year. In June 2004 the couple finally divorced. Less than a week later, Anthony married the actress and singer Jennifer Lopez.
